I request that my son/daughter be considered for admission to Hastings Christian School.
I agree that he/she shall be subject to the rules and disciplines of the school.
I also agree to pay attendance dues as agreed by the Proprietor Board and before withdrawing the child to give a term’s notice in writing, or to pay such a proportion of the attendance dues as determined by the Board. I understand that the Proprietor Board are entitled to charge interest on attendance dues that are outstanding.
Acceptance of enrolment is conditional on the parents’ willingness to uphold and support the Special Character of the school.
The Hastings Christian School, as a State integrated school, has been given greater flexibility by the MOE to enable the school to ensure that the maintenance of the school’s Special Character remains the prime focus of its enrolment policy.
A preference of enrolment at the school under Section 29 (1) of the PSCI Act shall be given to students whose parents’ or guardians’ beliefs are clearly aligned with the Special Character of Hastings Christian School. Preference will be determined by the Proprietor (Hawke’s Bay Christian School Association).
To assist the Proprietor with this determination, applicants should answer the following questions and provide all requested information.
What church do you currently attend?
We have read the Statement of Special Character and Statement of Beliefs. We understand that parents' alignment with the school’s Special Character is the primary basis for children being accorded preference at the school.
We give permission for you to contact our pastor / church elder to discuss this application. N.B Without your pastor/elder letter your application can not be processed.
We agree to uphold and support the Special Character and would welcome an interview with the school Proprietor if required to discuss the Special Character.
